The New Balance 997R Debuts Overseas In “Shadow Grey”

The New Balance 997R Debuts Overseas In “Shadow Grey”

The New Balance 997R, a remastered version of the popular NB 997 silhouette, is yet to launch globally, but it’s ready to take over.

As is customary of the brand’s new 990 series propositions, the modern design has debuted in a classic “Shadow Grey” color scheme. The upper features a good quality suede, but overlays are rearranged in a sportier, partly-“hidden” manner. The midsole underfoot also delivers an update to the New Balance icon, seemingly abandoning the company’s marquee foams for a more affordable option. Additionally, the sole unit features a number of chiseled sections, creating a more exciting look than the regular New Balance 997.

Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, and find the shoes available right now at select shops across Europe. A stateside newbalance.com is set to follow soon.
