Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe achieved icon status from day one, now returning in memorable colorways from its 40-year run as part of its milestone anniversary year. The upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” retro is one many have circled as must-cop, with the original 2015 release being revered as one of the best non-OG Jordan 1s ever. Now taking note from its taller sibling, the Air Jordan 1 Low has surfaced in a “Shattered Backboard” colorway of its own.

An orange toe box + black toe overlay combination is about as deep as the comparison goes. The rest of the upper features a white quarter, black tongue and lining, and bright orange on the Swoosh and heel. Breaking further from “Shatter Backboard” color blocking, the design is complete with a “Sail” midsole and black outsole.

Admittedly, most would prefer a “Shattered Backboard” Jordan 1 Low OG in the same vein as this year’s “Obsidian” and “Rookie Of The Year” Lows. Basically what Jordan Brand did with the “Starfish” Jordan 1 Low a few years back; essentially a low-top of the “Shattered Backboard 2.0” from 2016. But alas, the likeminded orange, white, and black combination falls on the less sought-after “modern” cut here.

The Jordan 1 Low “Shattered Backboard” releases during the Summer 2025 window for $115 in men’s sizing, arriving a season ahead of the high-top retro penciled in for July 12th. See official images below and visit our Jordan Release Dates 2025 page to preview more upcoming Jordan 1s.
