CLOT Reveals A Patchworked adidas Superstar Breathe

A "Baijia Bu" concept weaves in discarded CLOT x adidas materials.

CLOT Reveals A Patchworked adidas Superstar Breathe

CLOT isn’t slowing down one bit. Since switching teams from the Swoosh to the Stripes, Edison Chen’s output with his new team has come fast and furious, hardly affording a moment to breathe from the last collection before another fresh one takes its place on our front page. Primarily focusing their talents on venerated silhouettes like the Samba and Gazelle, that’s again the case as CLOT unveils a “Patchwork” version of the Superstar Breathe.

A tacit signature shoe in Chen’s canon, the mesh build of the Superstar has been utilized for airy editions all year, but as the leaves begin to change, it makes a suitable canvas for this heavier application. Propelled by the Chinese concept of “Baijia Bu,” the primary draw of this shoe is how it shifts through texture and tone. Though the coloring varies from shoe to shoe, the materiality on either remains constant, blending houndstooth knit fabric in the rear, corduroy toes, tumbled leather Three Stripes detailing, and suede eye-stays. More than just an intriguing narrative thread, the shoe is reportedly comprised of discarded fabric from the process of creating the past year’s CLOT x adidas product — a tangible culmination of the sturdy partners’ expansive shared history.

The adidas x CLOT Patchwork Superstar first lands via Juice Shanghai, with a wider launch to follow via all JUICE locations on October 17th. Though we’re expecting this pair to be exclusively to those channels, watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for any info on a global launch if we’re proven wrong.
