Matt Varga How much can we say about the CLOT work ethic? It seems that at any given point in 2025, we’ve been only days away from a new drop or reveal in Edison Chen’s relationship with adidas. To wit, only a week and change after the patchwork CLOT Superstar Breathe hit the newswire, an adidas “creative presentation” gave way to new editions of the CLOT Dress Superstar.
Last seen in a sensible all-black colorway, this spotlight sees adidas and CLOT bring a ton of statement character to their hybrid formulation. Replete with all-leather builds—including tasseled laces and toothed edges—five new colorways make their debut here. One leans into traditional aesthetics, carrying raw tan trim and a tanned dark brown body before shifting to crackled, aged exteriors in a tan look and glossy finishes in burgundy.
Easily the two most attention-grabbing editions come in metallic silver, wearing reptilian-like materiality and black contrast soles, and a finishing pair that makes its snakeskin exteriors undeniable, also sporting black finishing notes.
The CLOT x adidas Dress Superstar “Metallic Silver” reportedly already dropped at CLOT’s retail space, but don’t count out another release in the coming months. That’s when we expect the additional colorways revealed here to arrive. While we await concrete details, check out the in-person shots below.
