Near the turn of the year, SNS will be collaborating with renowned designer Kazuki Kuraishi for the “Kinenbi” collection, a theme that roughly translates from Japanese to “In celebration of” or “anniversary.” Alongside some print-clad parkas, mohair cardigans, and graphic tees, the range will include the adidas Superstar in honor of its 50 year run.
Though identical to the original in its black/white color scheme, the pair quickly comes into its own through a full Velcro, vegan construction. From the black-dyed heel tab and stripes to the white paneling underneath, everything is made of the widespread fastener, each element also able to be accessorized further with the four included patches. And though led by the two floral variations, these attachments also delve into branding, one sporting “SNS KZK” while the other types “KINENBI.”
Grab a close-up peek at this collab here and expect to find it at Sneakersnstuff.com on December 28th.
