Though not a huge source of inspiration for Nike, music has had at least a bit of influence on collections in the past. The Air Max 270 React, for example, drew from the industry’s many genres, representing each by way of vibrant color stories. Here, rather than celebrate all in one go, the brand is opting to highlight Rock ‘n’ Roll, lensing both a women’s Air Force 1 and the Air Max 97 through its aesthetic.
Like the AF1, the Air Max 97 is dressed in a soft, Spring-appropriate palette. “Sail” is used heavily across both suede and mesh, amplifying the custom details added atop. This is why you instantly notice the embroideries along the side, which proffer not just a blacked out Swoosh but also a peace-signing hand and elegant “Just do it” text. Adjacent, the pink and reddish orange panels stand out similarly, the latter of which complements the heel tab as well as the lipstick-covered mouth that outfits the tongue/insole.

In other news, better images of the Air Jordan 1 Heritage were recently unveiled.
