For over almost two decades, SNS and New Balance have crafted compelling product rooted in strong narratives and initiatives. Their latest “Goods For Home” collaboration looks to Japanese home accessories for inspiration, and is headlined by a 2002R Mule.
Premium suede couples with breathable mesh across the sneaker’s upper to deliver a comfortable ride that’s elevated through the slip-on, laceless modification. An ABZORB cushioning system and N-ergy outsole inject performance running-informed reliability, although the mule-ified New Balance 2002R is marketed for more casual wear. In addition to covering its latest shoe collaboration in a clean olive green, deep brown and off-white color combination, SNS has replaced the pair’s profile “N” logos with that of the New Balance 990v3 as a nod to the original New Balance Mule.
The “Goods For Home” concept is brought to life via not only the 2002R Mule’s lounge-appropriateness, but also a selection of products developed with local Japanese craftsmen. The Stockholm-based boutique deliver an incense chamber modeled after the Mule, Apotheke Fragrance incense, cups and a two-pack of Socks by Silage. Artistic direction for the campaign was executed with the help of long-time creative contributor Yuthanan.
Enjoy campaign imagery of the pair ahead, and find the shoes available exclusively via all SNS locations, sneakersnstuff.com and newbalance.com for $140 USD.
