The Nike Air Max 97 may not be celebrating its 25th anniversary any longer, but the sheer number of releases six months removed has proven The Swoosh isn’t yet finished with the celebratory treatment. Recently the Christian Tresser design assumed a familiar “Picante Red” palette ensuring the late 90s silhouette’s continued appearance throughout the summer months.
Outfitting the brand’s staple leather lifestyle trio of the Nike Dunk Low, Air Force 1 and Blazer Mid, the recurring vibrant red tint now begins to outfit the brand’s Max Air toolings. Here, the silhouette’s mainstay leather overlay assumes the aforementioned hue in tandem with the interior of the full-length Air bubble. Elsewhere, a singular TPU overlay dawns a neutral vanilla contrast amongst the model’s sea of crisp white colorless tones that consume the upper, tongue, midsole and tread.
While release date information has yet to be revealed, in the meantime enjoy an official look at the Nike Air Max 97 “Picante Red” below.
