Kiko Kostadinov Reveals Upcoming ASICS NOVALIS Sneaker

Back in May, Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS announced that they would be taking their partnership a step further with “NOVALIS,” a collaborative luxury line that will be stocked by the likes of Dover Street Market and The Broken Arm. And though originally scheduled to debut at Paris Fashion Week in the Fall, Kostadinov couldn’t help but reveal a glimpse at the forthcoming project during his SS24 show, sharing an on-foot look at what is likely the collection’s inaugural sneaker.

Unveiled further via the Bulgarian designer’s IG stories, the upcoming Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS NOVALIS sneaker introduces what looks to be a new tooling. This wouldn’t be the first time that Kostadinov has created his own sole unit, as the Japanese footwear brand provided him that ultra rare opportunity during the creation of the GEL-Kiril. Looking above at its upper, the newly-introduced model boasts a premium, leather-dominant construction, with mesh laid only along the tongue, the lining, and the underside of the eyestays. ASICS’ signature Tiger Stripes are then stitched into rather than cut out from the lateral overlay, echoing the minimalist design ethos of the line-up as a whole.

Complete with “ASICS NOVALIS” markings, Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS’ latest shoe is expected to release later next year. More information, photos, and the like should be unveiled upon the collection’s official debut.

Speaking of reveals, a closer look at the Social Status Nike Mac Attack was shared this past weekend.
