Jovani Hernandez Bad Bunny and adidas are up to something again.
The duo has been relatively quiet since launching an exclusive pair of the Response CL at Concepts Boston in mid-August. The Puerto Rican superstar, however, has been in the public eye due to his love life throughout most of 2023. Over the past couple of weeks, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio has been photographed in an unreleased version of the adidas Response CL, which is set to launch soon.
Users on social media have shared pictures of an ad found in today’s edition of Primera Hora, a daily newspaper from Puerto Rico. The one-page ad presents Bad Bunny’s unreleased adidas sneaker front-and-center with “MOST WANTED” messaging above. A phone number is provided for more information; upon calling the number, a pre-recorded message states that the Response CL will debut exclusively at Puerto Rico’s Aperos 4J, a store for Western and horseriding gear, tomorrow, September 22nd. Aperos 4J is located at B-5 PR-1, Caguas, 00725, Puerto Rico and will open at 9am local time.
The sneaker takes on an “Ecru Tint,” “Bronze Strata,” and “Earth Strata” color scheme. Akin to past projects by the 29-year-old, the upcoming offering heavily favors different shades of the same tone. An official backstory for the brown Response CL hasn’t been shared by either party involved, but the aforementioned ad and debut at Aperos 4J suggest a Western theme is at the center (maybe Grupo Frontera is to thank?).
