The following article was published on March 25th, 2024:

Fear of God Athletics is set to release a new batch of adidas footwear ahead of spring, championing Jerry Lorenzo’s elevated streetwear ethos across three models. The cult favorite Basketball 1 gets four separate NCAA-inspired treatments, joined by an 86 Hi and Los Angeles Runner for a balanced delivery.

The Basketball 1 “Miami” and “Indiana” colorways that were unveiled during NBA All-Star Weekend finally appear set for launch, and they’re joined by two additional pairs with light bases as opposed to black. The alternate Miami colorway boasts a “Clay” base, while the Indiana pair matches a red toe with off-white primeknit. Meanwhile, the 86 Hi embraces a grey suede build packed with ample co-branding, while the Los Angeles Runner takes a lightly colored approach with suede overlays and a ripstop base.

Word on the street is that adidas and Fear of God plan to release footwear geared towards performance basketball in the future, but it would appear that such developments are still a work in progress. In the meantime, the brand’s latest footwear delivery boasts more than enough streetwear appeal to mend the gap.

The 86 Hi ($220), Los Angeles Runner ($170), and all four Basketball 1 colorways ($250) are set to release on April 3rd on fearofgod.com and exclusively through the adidas CONFIRMED app.
