Jovani Hernandez From first-time retros to new collaborations, news from the past week excited countless sneaker fans across the globe. Yet, one headline broke into the mainstream zeitgeist unlike any other: adidas will sell remaining YEEZY inventory.
There’s no need to go into detail about what happened to the relationship between the Three Stripes and Kanye West, but what’s been all-but-confirmed is that the partnership will not go beyond getting rid of old inventory – which includes the Yeezy 350 V2, Yeezy Foam Runner, and Yeezy Slides.
Away from the Three Stripes, Nike, Jordan Brand, and New Balance got fans of footwear excited with their own announcements (unofficial and otherwise). The “Eggplant” Foamposite from the late 2000s was rumored to return in 2024, as was a slew of Air Jordan retros. Aimé Leon Dore and the Boston-based brand also made headlines with the NB 650, while Teddy Santis continued to churn out Made In USA New Balances.
