Eleven Can’t Miss Sneaker News Headlines from December 19th to December 24th

With the holidays upon communities all over the world, adidas, NIKE, Inc. and New Balance revealed some of their plans for 2021 and beyond.

The Three Stripes shook up the Internet as Jerry Lorenzo announced that his FEAR OF GOD label was entering a long-term partnership with it. Although Lorenzo has been appointed to take over the brand’s basketball division, it’s possible that the American designer begins a Yeezy-like imprint throughout his tenure with the German sportswear behemoth. Elsewhere, New Balance didn’t unveil any new brand ambassadors or creative directors, but it shared a handful of impressive collaborations with KITH and Todd Snyder, with a festive New Balance 992 trio driving collectors toward the after-market.

Over on the NIKE, Inc. side of things, the Air Jordan 1 appeared in dozens of new colorways and iterations thanks to not only its long-established trims, but also its yet-to-hit-retail “Switch” edition. The performance-oriented Jordan 35 also emerged in new arrangements, with one of the most impressive arriving courtesy of CLOT.

The Nike Dunk continued to dominate headlines as both in-line and Nike SB propositions emerged ahead of the new year. Various Nike Air Max options also surfaced, with news of the original Air Max 90 “Spruce Lime” returning globally for the first time ever exciting savvy sneaker enthusiasts.

For a look at all that and more, check out our top headlines from December 19th to December 24th below.
