What else needs to be said about the Samba, Stan Smith, and the Campus? Serving athletes at one point in history, each of these three icons are now mainstays for the fashionably inclined. Whether you’re aiming for a noticeable sleek shape or the hefty look to go with a baggy wide-leg jean, adidas continues its dominance season in and out, reaching a point where having three stripes in the sneaker rotation is inescapable.
This summer, adidas Originals vows to be at the core of lifestyle fashion once again. To prepare you for the season, we’ve hand-selected some of our personal favorites that might go under the radar.
Sambas need no introduction, but this sport-inspired OG with fold-down tongues is simply a vibe, especially with the energy around football reaching unimaginable heights this summer. Stan Smiths might give the Samba a run for its money in terms of timelessness, so be glad to know that a premium Lux version is out there. And for those hanging onto youth, look no further than the Campus 00s to capture the Y2K aesthetic.
All of our selections are detailed just below for you to browse, but here’s the best part: they’re all available on adidas.com right now.

The adidas Samba continues to be the “it” shoe to the masses, all while ushering in the era of the slimmer fitting, lower-profile sneaker for the daily use. While you may already have that Cloud White or Core Black colorway in your rotation, adidas just delivered a batch of classics that pay homage to the sport that helped create the icon. This freshly dropped trio of Samba OGs are directly inspired by vintage jerseys and further evolved with a fold-over tongue to echo that true on-pitch vibe for the sidewalk. Our favorite is the Preloved Yellow, but check out the Crystal White and Semi Burst Blue as well.
The Stan Smith is unquestionably one of the most influential signature shoes in history. Single-handedly reviving the tennis-shoe movement in the mid 2010s, the Stan has firmly placed itself in the pantheon of lifestyle fashion — and somehow adidas made it even better. Enter the adidas Stan Smith Lux; keeping with the original construction, this execution sees premium leather uppers, leather lining, and cushioned soles that go perfectly with any weekender’s head-to-toe look. The signature Green heel is a true classic, but if you’re looking for some variation, we like the Collegiate Purple or even the monochromatic off-white charm.
adidas Originals has done a magnificent job with evolving their icons. Case in point: the Campus 00s. A clashing of two eras, the Campus from the 1980s jumps forward two decades to the Y2K era, bringing that chunkier look with fattened tongues and gum soles to boot. The Legacy Teal colorway grasps that youthful spirit with its full-suede upper, but adidas offers some variety with the canvas upper in either “Aluminum” or “Grey Three”.
