Jovani Hernandez As February 14th inches closer, a lot of attention has been placed on Valentine’s Day sneakers, but some of the biggest players in the industry have also teased more footwear options for the remainder of 2022.
Whether you’ve wanted to or not, it’s very likely you’ve learned about Ye – the being formerly known as “Kanye West” – over the last week, as he’s aired out personal issues like he’s getting paid to do so. On the footwear front, the 44-year-old has indirectly confirmed a handful of adidas Yeezy restocks that’ve gotten savvy and casual consumers alike excited. Although models like the Yeezy 350 v2 and Yeezy Slides had been included less frequently in the brand’s lineup over the last half of 2021, upcoming release dates suggest their hiatus is over.
Away from any Three Stripes branding, the New Balance 550 emerged in an all-“Black” colorway for the first time since re-entering the company’s core line of products in December 2020. Furthermore, four of the original re-launch styles loaded onto the brand’s stateside webstore for a restock on Tuesday, February 15th. Handfuls of the Air Jordan 1 (in all trims) also surfaced, as did the near-identical Nike Dunk. NIKE, Inc. also shared that it’d be unveiled the Doernbecher Freestyle XVII collection on Friday, February 25th. With the help of seven young patients of the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, the North American conglomerate will offer several silhouettes to help raise funds for the life-changing service provided by the Oregon-based clinic.
