Eleven Can’t Miss Sneaker News Headlines from December 12th to December 18th

And just like that, December is halfway done. As the start of the new decade winds down, NIKE, Inc., adidas and other players in the sneaker space have revealed their final plans for the year, as well as some for 2021 and beyond.

On the Jumpman side of things, the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” was confirmed on the brand’s official channels. For the first time in the pair’s history, it’s set to return with “NIKE AIR” branding on the heel, which has already driven many sneaker enthusiasts to set aside approximately $200 USD for its February launch. Elsewhere, Michael Jordan’s subsidiary revealed several pairs of the ever-popular Jordan 1 Mid, while more unofficial looks at other Jordan release dates came via trusted leakers.

Bodega unveiled its high-quality Nike Dunk High collaboration slated to launch before the year ends. Alongside it, rumors emerged that the Nike Dunk Low is headed to the Swoosh’s Nike By You customization program. While currently simply a rumor, the news has been well-received by fans of the silhouette that haven’t been able to secure a pair through Nike SNKRS and other stockists. Away from the recent mainstream darling, the Air Force 1 surfaced in a handful of impressive ensembles, with one of the most praised being an arrangement inspired by Japan’s Daruma dolls. Every “under the hood” update on the Kobe 6 Protro was disclosed, while Anthony Davis introduced a peculiar chapter in Nike Basketball’s storied history: the Cosmic Unity model.

Away from any Swoosh or Jumpman logo, adidas Yeezy confirmed a handful previously-teased releases. Among them, the Yeezy Quantum “Frozen Blue” and Yeezy 700 V3 “Clay Brown,” the former proffering one of the sub-label’s most animated pairs from recent history. New Balance shared a couple of more impressive collaborations, all while still showing in-line love to the beloved New Balance 992.
